Q. What have you most enjoyed about being a senior?
A. This year I have really enjoyed being one of the two cross country girls team captains. A. So far, I consider my biggest challenge to be not being able to run during my junior year cross country season due to unforeseen circumstances. This moment was challenging at first because I was sad I wouldn’t be able to run with all my friends, but I used the free time I gained to pursue my academic goals by attending an SAT prep class and joining the Young Democrat’s Club.
Q. Whom do you admire? Why?
A. I admire Michelle Obama primarily because of her dedication to female education and her role model persona to millions of young women across the country. She has shown me that you can truly come from anywhere and achieve anything you want as long as you have the determination to get it done.
Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?
A. Every situation presented to you can end in personal gain as long as you have a positive attitude and the work ethic to make it happen.
