To the Editor:
As the longest three months our lives drag on and we limp into the summertime, I’m left wondering what lies ahead. Coinciding with this pandemic has been the uncertainty surrounding the current and future state of Salisbury Township’s school system. What will our teachers and students return to next fall. How will they handle so much change?
This community needs to rally together to help the Salisbury School District board understand that the fall should be focused on stabilizing the academic framework for our children, and not experimenting with a new infrastructure that will have a lasting negative impact on our students, our teachers and our community.
The time may come to close schools and build new ones, but that time is not now. This time is for healing.
Next year is a time to establish a plan for the future; one that is complete and long term.
Please sign the online petition linked at the top of savesalisbury.com before June 1 and let the school board know where you stand.
