A 58-year-old Emmaus man died after he was thrown from the 2003 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy motorcycle he was operating around 6:12 a.m. May 3 in the 5100 block of Scheidys Road, North Whitehall Township.
According to Lehigh County Coroner Eric Minnich, Chad J. Stoudnour was pronounced dead by Deputy Coroner Craig Hanzl at 6:51 a.m. at the scene.
Minnich said the cause of Stoudnour’s death is blunt force injuries due to a motorcycle accident.
His death was ruled an accident, Minnich said.
According to State Police Troop M, Bethlehem, Stoudnour was traveling south on Scheidys Road, south of Meadow Brook Drive, when his motorcycle left the right side of the roadway for unknown reasons.
It then struck a culvert with its front tire causing Stoudnour to be thrown airborne from his bike.
The bike then slid along the ground approximately 25 feet coming to its final rest.
Stoudnour landed face down approximately 10 feet south of where his bike came to its final rest, police say.
