LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

EASTERN SALISBURY COLUMN

Welcome to quarantine day 1,342 ... well or so it feels. I hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy as we continue to navigate these never before experienced experiences. I know personally, my kids are missing their friends and the routine of school so that in itself has multiple challenges. But we are making the best of it.

Salisbury Township School District is providing, at no charge, “Grab-and-Go” breakfast and lunch meals for all interested students 18 years and younger through the remainder of the school year. This is a federally-funded program offered to all Salisbury students regardless of meal status.

Grab-and-go meals can be picked up curbside at Harry S Truman Elementary School and Salisbury Middle School between the hours of 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Meals will be available every Monday and Thursday through the end of the school year.

The procedures for curbside pickup for meals are as follows: Pull up to the designated location following the directions on signage and hand signal how many students request meals. Staff will place the meals on a table and step back. Exit the vehicle and grab the requested meals. Students must be present in the car. When not possible, identifying information for students may be requested. For questions, email Director of Child Nutrition Camille Laszczak at claszczak@salisburysd.org.

The HST PTO meeting originally scheduled for May 4 has been canceled. It will now be held via Zoom 7 p.m. May 11. Please refer to the district email that was sent with regard to meeting ID and login information.
