COVID-19

Due to the evolving and fluid situation surrounding COVID-19 and its impact, associations, clubs, committees, volunteer groups and other organizations are canceling events, meetings and other potential gatherings.

The Woman’s Club of Emmaus has canceled the May 18 celebration of the Girls of the Month. In addition, all club meetings are canceled until fall 2020.

Upper Milford Western District Fire Company No. 1 has canceled its chicken barbecue scheduled for June 27. If it is rescheduled, it will be announced in the community calendar in The Press.

AARP #4150 Lower Macungie Chapter recently announced the group will not meet in May due to COVID-19. Tentative plans are for a June meeting in the Upper Milford Township Municipal Center, Zionsville. For information, call 610-967-3284 or 610-570-3191.

The Emmaus Flag Day Program, scheduled for June 14, has been canceled. “In keeping with the guidelines for social distancing and with respect for students who were not able to submit poems and essays because of school closures and distance learning issues, the program was canceled.” They look forward to seeing students and families next Flag Day, June 14, 2021 at the Community Park Pavilion, Emmaus.
