This Sunday, May 10, is Mother’s Day.
With social distancing in effect, there will not be the usual dinners out with Mom. However, a phone call, a conversation a safe distance away or an online chat would be a great way to communicate with your loved one.
We can celebrate apart from Mom for now, but plan a celebration at a later date when you can be together again.
Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers, grandmothers, aunts and mother figures!

If you order annual plants and flowers by mail or buy them locally, remember to wait until May 15 or later to plant them.
This is the general rule regarding the last frost of the season. After May 15, we should be safe from frost. There’s still plenty of time to work in the yard and make our surroundings inviting and beautiful.
