Northampton Farmers Market will open for the season May 12, and will continue Tuesdays through October, at Municipal Park, Smith Lane and Laubach Avenue.

Hours are 3-6:30 p.m.

Masks are required, and hand-washing stations will be placed throughout the market.

The monthly meeting of Northampton AARP Chapter 3915, which was scheduled for May 13, has been canceled due to the coronavirus outbreak.

In addition, all future monthly meetings of the group, including the annual picnic normally held in June, have been canceled until further notice.

Northampton Area Food Bank is operating and distributing food. Registration is set for 9:30-11:30 a.m. Wednesdays.

The food bank is accepting monetary donations as well as nonperishable items.
