Pastor Kris Snyder-Samuelson, Associate Pastor Kayli Freeman, and other leaders of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, prepared an online service, which incorporated features of traditional worship, for Easter Sunday.

Viewers were advised to find a cracker or piece of bread to represent the Body of Christ and some juice, wine or water to represent the Blood of Christ.

These were blessed and all shared the communion meal together, although everyone was participating from their own homes. The pastors encouraged people to find a stone and paint or draw a heart on it. This “worry stone” can be carried around and rubbed to ease anxiety and worry.

Pastor James Gottwald of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Laurys Station, invites people to share church experiences by livestreaming 10:15 a.m. Sundays.

“Our ministry for one another and our mission to our community will not stop because of this public health challenge,” Pastor Gottwald said.

Pastor Gordon Camp of Union Lutheran Church, Schnecksville, said services can be found on the church website.

“We want to model good, safe behavior. Jesus gives us wisdom, doctors and nurses,” Camp explained.
