WESTERN SALISBURY COLUMN

Looking for something to keep your brain from turning to mush while you are stuck at home?

The Penn State Extension is offering 55 free courses until April 30. They range from beekeeping, plant health, pruning trees to dining with diabetes, totally veggies and nutrition 101. I just Googled “Penn State Extension free courses” and it popped right up. Some of them are 30 minutes long, some are 4 hours. They are all different. You need to register before April 30 and then you have 60 days to complete the course. I will definitely be doing this. WE ARE!

Western Salisbury Elementary School has resumed morning announcements with fifth grade students recording them at home. To access them, log on to the Salisbury Township School District website, click on Western Salisbury Elementary, click on students and then morning announcements. It’s a great way to see the kids’ faces and bring some normalcy back to your student’s school day.

There is still time to order a yearbook from your child’s school. Everyone should have one because this is definitely a year to remember. For the high school, go to www.yearbookordercenter.com/. Salisbury’s school order number is 10823.

Salisbury Township will have a curbside branch pick up April 20-24. Branches cannot be longer than 5 feet or be 5 inches in diameter and must be bundled with twine. An open container may be used for small twigs.
