Street cleaning will occur May 7 and 8 in the borough, despite the mild winter and later heavy rains.
Streets will be swept from Front Street to Ruch Street. No alleys will be swept.
Funding for the project comes from the state’s liquid fuel tax account, not borough real estate taxes.

Coplay Car Wash and Reph’s Auto Repairs are both going before the borough zoning hearing board on appeals to planned changes.
The car wash at Fifth and Hokendauqua streets has plans to close and convert the property to a storage facility.
Reph’s has plans to construct a third bay to its facility at Second and Center streets.
Both appellants need a variance from the zoning board to proceed with their plans.
The hearings await the opening of the borough hall, which has been closed due to the coronavirus.
