LIBERTY: ‘Peter Pan’

J. M. Barrie’s 1904 play is the basis of Liberty Theatre’s “Peter Pan,” 7 p.m. April 16, 17 and 2 and 7 p.m. April 18, auditorium, Liberty High School, 1115 Linden St., Bethlehem.

The musical has music by Mark “Moose” Charlap, additional music by Jule Styne, and lyrics by Carolyn Leigh, Betty Comden and Adolph Green.

Liberty production director Judith Rivera is assisted by assistant director Laura Mainiero, choral director Julie Wydrinski, pit orchestra director Allen Frank, choreographer Colette Boudreaux, technical director Ross Makary and sound director Tim Treweek.

The original 1954 Broadway production received three Tony Awards of three nominations. The 1979 Broadway revival received three Tony nominations. The 1990 Broadway revival received two 1991 Tony nominations. The 1998 Broadway revival received one Tony nomination.

Production numbers include “I’m Flying,” “Never Neverland,” “I’ve Gotta Crow” and “I Won’t Grow Up.”
