How is everyone doing out there? Stir crazy yet? My sister who lives alone is struggling. I told her by the end of all this we might turn into Jack Nickolson in “The Shining.” She said “I hope not!”

But I can understand how this is hard on her. I have four other people to talk to in my house; she does not. So if you know people or relatives who are alone through this, reach out and give them a call or video chat with them.

If I was alone during this pandemic, I think I would be having full-on conversations with my cats other than the normal “How is my pretty girl?”

Anyway, not much going on in Allentown or the United States for that matter, but I can give you the new dates of a few things that have been postponed.

The blood drive originally scheduled for March 31 at Salisbury High School has now become an Adopt-A-Day blood drive at the Miller Keystone Blood Center, 1255 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Suite 1300. Schedule an appointment to donate blood at GIVEaPINT.org under the group code 0490, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. April 21. I believe blood supplies are very low and donations would be greatly appreciated.

Also, the clothing drive sponsored by the Salisbury Athletic Booster Club originally scheduled for April 18 at Salisbury Middle School has been moved to 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 1.

Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church has canceled all events indefinitely. Sunday sermons by Pastor Brown are being live streamed on their Facebook page every Sunday. The liturgy for Palm Sunday is on their website along with a Holy Week devotional.
