LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

STUDENT OF THE WEEK

Q. Who are the members of your family: parents, siblings and pets?

A. I live with my mom and dad, as well as my younger brother and our cat.

Q. What do you most enjoy about being a senior at Salisbury High School?

A. My favorite thing about being a senior is being able to pass down things I have learned during high school to younger students.

Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?

A. My favorite subject is history. I have always been interested in philosophies and ideas of the past, and how they have contributed and led to our current state of society.

Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A. I placed second at the state Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science competition, made it to states for Future Business Leaders of America and went to regionals for Model United Nations. I was also a co-captain of the swim and soccer teams.

Q. What are your favorite extracurricular activities?

A. I love to play soccer more than anything outside of school. However, I also swim for Salisbury and play trumpet in the Young People’s Philharmonic of the Lehigh Valley.

Q. What is your next goal after high school?

A. I will be attending Lehigh University in the fall where I plan to double major in international relations and economics.

Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?

A. My biggest challenge has been pushing myself at soccer to the point where I have the possibility of playing club soccer at Lehigh.

Q. For what would you like to be remembered?

A. I want to be remembered for being able to relax and have fun with things, even when situations seemed pretty bad.

Q. Whom do you admire? Why?

A. I admire my grandfather because if he has his mind set on something, not much can prevent him from achieving his goal.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?

A. The best advice I could give to my friends would be to just relax in high school. If you focus too much on something, you’re bound to miss the other amazing experiences you can have.
