Coplay Borough canceled the two borough council meetings for April.

The administration will decide the plans for May after the president and governor make any announcements at the end of this month.

The borough hall lockdown is for the entire municipal building, including the police station and office. The public can contact police by phone, email or 911 for an emergency.

Borough sanitation crews will continue the weekly collection of garbage and recycling materials.

Yard waste will not be picked up on Fridays until further notice.

St. Peter Roman Catholic Church has announced all church Masses and events through Easter are canceled.

Mgsr. John Martin said the Holy Saturday event, at which families traditionally brought food for blessings, will not take place this year.

St. John’s Lutheran Church Pastor Timothy Boyer also said all services until Easter Sunday are canceled.
