Coronavirus impact: Michael Bublé postpones PPL Center concert, tour
The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has claimed another major tour that includes the Michael Bublé’ concert at PPL Center, Allentown.
A rescheduled date for “An Evening With Michael Bublé,” May 19, PPL Center, is to be announced.
Tickets will be valid for the rescheduled date, according to the PPL Center website.
“Hold on to your tickets and they will be honored for the rescheduled dates that we will be revealing once they are confirmed,” said Don Fox, tour national promoter.
“The safety of my fans and my touring family is more important than anything and, of course, takes priority,” said Bublé.
“I pray that everyone remains safe and I look forward to seeing you back on the road for a great night out once we are advised that our shows can continue. Stay well, everyone,” Bublé said.
The second part of Bublé’s North American concert tour, which included concerts in Boston, San Francisco and Las Vegas, was to have concluded in Allentown.
“In the U.S. alone, Bublé has already performed for over half a million fans,” said Fox, head of Beaver Productions.
Bublé has sold more than 60 million records worldwide, has had numerous No. 1 singles, hosted seven NBC-TV specials and received four Grammy Awards. His most recent album, “(love),” was No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200.
