A 64-year-old Palmerton woman was killed when the 2006 Kia Sedona she was driving struck a tree 3:39 p.m. March 22 on Mountain Road, Washington Township.
According to Lehigh County Coroner Eric Minnich, Ginger L. Rodgers was pronounced dead by Lehigh County Deputy Coroner Andrew Kehm, at 4:53 p.m. at the scene.
The cause of her death was multiple blunt force injuries, due to a motor vehicle accident, Minnich said.
He said the manner of her death was ruled an accident.
State Police Troop M, Bethlehem, were dispatched just before 4 p.m.
Erlene Sell, 63, of Palmerton, a passenger in the Kia, was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
She was listed in critical but stable condition, police say.
According to police, Sell was wearing her seat belt.
