Firefighters respond to report of odor at medical office

South Whitehall volunteer firefighters from Cetronia, Greenawalds and Woodlawn, as well as firefighters from Western Salisbury and Alburtis were dispatched March 25 for a reported structure fire at the Lehigh Valley Physician Group practice, 3080 Hamilton Blvd., South Whitehall Township.

A call was made to the Cetronia Fire Department to report the smell of something burning.

The 911 Center was then notified by Cetronia firefighters to dispatch the call.

As the multiple units arrived on scene, they were directed to specific assignments by Cetronia Fire Chief Jay Heicklen.

Upon investigation, firefighters determined the problem was in a HVAC unit.

Firefighters used fans to dissipate the odor.

The building was then turned over to maintenance personnel.

Cetronia Ambulance Corps and South Whitehall Township police assisted at the scene.
