Extinct friend helps out at Blue Monkey

Blue Monkey Sports Bar and Restaurant, 1094 Howertown Road, North Catasauqua, does not have dine-in service at the moment due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the restaurant is offering its menu items for takeout.

For friends of the tavern who are craving a taste of their favorites, the owners added a little levity.

Larry, the T. rex guy, was on hand March 19 for all the take-out order distributions. Tyrannosaurus rexes are not affected by the virus, it was reported.

“The whole idea added a funny highlight. Everything has been so somber with this virus,” said one customer.

All orders are cooked individually and you can call in your order for pickup.

Although the number of coronavirus cases continues to increase, the local numbers are low compared to reported numbers in other areas. Montgomery and Philadelphia counties continue to have the most recorded cases.
