Lehigh Township police have arrested a Danielsville man for the March 26 robbery of Turkey Hill, Cherryville.

Malachi John Owens, 19, has been charged.

According to police, at approximately 11:45 p.m. March 27, Walnutport Police Department officers observed a two-tone red/silver Chevrolet Silverado Z-71 that matched the description of a vehicle involved in a robbery March 26 at the Turkey Hill convenience store, 4205 Lehigh Drive.

Officers from Walnutport and Lehigh Township approached the vehicle in the parking lot of the Taco Bell at Route 145 and West Mountain View Drive, Walnutport Borough.

Officers observed the driver matched the description of the suspect, including the clothing he was wearing, from the robbery.

According to the report, Owens admitted to police he committed the robbery. He was transported to Northampton County Prison’s booking center to await arraignment.
