Armstrong asks all porch lights to shine during stay-at-home

This weekend, on April 3 and 4, Lehigh County Executive Phillips Armstrong is asking for Lehigh County residents to come together for “Lights On Lehigh Valley.”

At this time, residents are asked to turn on their porch lights from 7-10 p.m. to show solidarity during the county’s stay-at-home order.

Residents are encouraged to take pictures of their porch lights and use the hashtag #lightsonlehighvalley to show their support.

Residents who do not have a porch light can get creative and light a candle, display their favorite Christmas lights, decorations, etc., or anything to generate light for “Lights On Lehigh Valley.”

During this hardship, this is an incentive to bring our communities together and remind everyone they are not alone in the fight against COVID-19.

It is with this event that Lehigh County would like to bring together its community and create a sense of unity during these hard times.
