Broggi named Newman Civic Fellow
Campus Compact, a Boston-based nonprofit organization, has announced that Adam Broggi, a student at Northampton Community College, has been named a Newman Civic Fellow. The English major is a non-traditional student who returned to NCC after nearly 20 years of working in marketing and broadcast journalism.
He was nominated by Dr. Erickson, the college president, based on his involvement with civic activism at the college and his passion, work and studies around political and social inequalities. He helped revamp NCC’s Student Service Project Endowment, with which students may apply for and receive funding for community service projects.
The fellowship, named for the late Frank Newman, one of Campus Compact’s founders, is supported by the KPMG Foundation and Newman’s Own Foundation. For more information, visit compact.org/newman-civic-fellowship.
