A food service worker at Cedarbrook, South Whitehall, has tested positive for COVID-19.

The employee of Sodexo, the food service provider for both Cedarbrook Senior Care and Rehabilitation facilities, had not been on campus since March 15.

The investigation conducted by the Department of Health and Lehigh County determined there was no direct resident contact by the employee.

Sodexo employees identified as having possible exposure were notified and are quarantined at home.

Lehigh County will continue active health surveillance of employees and residents for risk factors as determined by CDC.

No Sodexo employees will be allowed back on site until a medical professional has cleared them to work in accordance with CDC guidance.
