CEDARBROOK

As of March 20, a food service employee, who works at the Allentown campus, tested positive for COVID-19. That employee has not been on campus since March 15. The employee works for Sodexo, the contracted food service provider for both Cedarbrook Senior Care & Rehabilitation facilities. Lehigh County and Sodexo have been informed of the situation and are both coordinating with the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

The investigation conducted by the Department of Health and the county has determined there was no direct resident contact by the employee in question. The limited number of Sodexo employees who have been identified to have possible exposure have been notified and, based on protocol as directed by the Department of Health, are quarantined at home.

Lehigh County will continue active health surveillance of employees and residents for risk factors as determined by CDC.

In adherence to both Sodexo protocol and CDC guidance, no employees will be allowed back on site until a medical professional has cleared them to work in accordance with CDC guidance.
