It was announced March 23 that district schools would be closed through April 3. An announcement of an extended meal distribution plan had not been released as of press time March 25.
Scheduled meals are available 10 a.m.-noon at George Wolf Elementary School and Siegfried Elementary School. Grab-and-go stations will be at the two locations.
Parents and students are asked not to enter buildings.
Free bagged lunches are distributed at George Wolf Elementary at the gymnasium entrance at the back of the school.
Free bagged lunches are distributed at Siegfried Elementary at the main entrance at the back of the building, adjacent to the district softball field.
Parents and guardians are asked when free bagged lunches are picked up for students, the child or children accompany the parent or guardian.
Students who drive may pick up their own free bagged lunch. If the student has a younger sibling, he or she should bring the sibling along to receive a free bagged lunch for the sibling.
In accordance with the U.S. Department of Agriculture waiver policy of noncongregate settings, individuals are not allowed to remain on school property after receiving the bagged meals.
Menus were posted on the dining services website, nasdschools.org/Page/50, as of noon March 14. Menus are subject to change without notice.
The service is for NASD students only.
