STUDENT OF THE WEEK

Q. Who are the members of your family: parents, siblings and pets?

A. I have a mom, dad, two sisters and one brother.

Q. What do you most enjoy about being a senior?

A. As a senior, I mostly enjoy spending time with my friends while in school or attending events such as sports games.

Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?

A. My favorite subject is math since I enjoy problem-solving in order to find solutions, as well as it correlates to my desire to become an engineer.

Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A. I received the Rensselaer Medal as a junior and I held the position of vice president in National Honor Society.

Q. What are your favorite extracurricular activities?

A. My favorite extracurricular activities include playing baseball and golf, hanging out with friends and watching professional sports.

Q. What is your next goal after high school?

A. My goal after high school is to attend a four-year college and graduate with a degree in computer engineering.

Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?

A. My biggest challenge to date consists of my chest surgery, which included the implantation of a steel bar in my chest since it was “sunken in” due to my pectus excavatum condition. It was my very first surgery and it impacted my entire summer in 2018.

Q. For what would you like to be remembered?

A. I would like to be remembered for treating everyone with kindness and respect, while also acting as a role model with my work ethic and positive attitude.

Q. Whom do you admire? Why?

A. I admire my brother Tim for his incredible work ethic in maintaining military ships while sailing around the world. He is also excellent in fixing any physical household problem, which is a skill I wish to build.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?

A. My advice to peers would be to keep a hard-working mindset and continue to grow even in the midst of success.
