Special to The Press
The Kempton Lions Club, the Albany Township Environmental Advisory Council, along with the Kempton Hotel, have established an ongoing roadside cleanup program for the township. The first cleanup will be 8:30 a.m. to noon March 28.
Rain date is April 4. If weather is a factor, check the Kempton Lions Club Facebook page, facebook.com/KemptonPALionsClub, that morning. If there is sufficient participation, the I-78 interchange in Lenhartsville will be tackled, too.
Participation limited to those 13 years of age and older, unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Safety vests and trash bags will be provided. Bring gloves. Meet at the Kempton Fire Company parking lot, 2461 Route 143, Kempton, at 8:30 a.m. for coffee and instruction. Teams will depart at 9 a.m.
The Kempton Hotel is providing coupons to participants for either hand-breaded mushrooms or fried pickles, or 10 percent off a total food purchase.
RSVP to John Moriarty at 610-756-6969 or capjohn6969@gmail.com.
