Family members: Kelly Conway (Mother) and Jim O’Connor (Dad).

Favorite subject: AP Computer Science; it’s interesting to look behind the scenes and study the coding used in our everyday technology.

Activities: Varsity cross country, varsity and AAU basketball, Model Congress and school newspaper.

Next steps: Study journalism and continue basketball career at Emerson College.

Career goals: Become a writer/journalist for an established and well-known newspaper/media outlet (New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Huffington Post)

Heroes: LeBron James; He’s an amazing athlete who, despite his world fame and celebrity status, stayed tied to his roots and gave back to his community by establishing a public elementary school for at-risk youth.

Hobbies: Playing basketball, reading, drawing, painting and playing with my dogs.

Volunteer/community work: Basketball coach for the Bethlehem Special Olympics.

Likes: Basketball, anime, dogs, horror movies, taking naps and listening to music.

Dislikes: Waking up early, hot weather, tomatoes and country music.

Greatest accomplishment (so far): Scoring my 1,000th career point this basketball season.

Advice for peers: Comparison is the thief of joy. Don’t let the successes and triumphs of other people’s lives take away from your own. Everyone walks a different path of life.
