“Crazy for You” tap dances onto the stage, 7 p.m. March 19, 20, 21 and 2 p.m. March 22, auditorium, Catasauqua High School, 2500 W. Bullshead Road, Northampton.

Director Brenda McGuire is assisted by music director Rob Arnold and choreographer Kerry McGuire.

Based on the Gershwin songwriting team’s 1930 musical, “Girl Crazy” and other productions (“Treasure Girl,” “A Damsel in Distress,” “Oh, Kay!,” “Shall We Dance,” “Ladies First,” “Primrose”), the music is by George Gershwin, lyrics are by Ira Gershwin and the book is by Ken Ludwig.

The 1992 Broadway production won three Tony Awards of nine nominations.

Musical numbers include “I’ve Got Rhythm,” “Slap That Bass,” “Someone to Watch Over Me,” “Naughty Baby” and “What Causes That?”
