Rick and Reba Blakeney of Kutztown announce the engagement of their daughter, Abby, to Matthew Kayhart, son of Arthur and Rita Kayhart of Mertztown.

The bride-elect received a Bachelor of Arts in History with a Social Studies Certification from Messiah College, Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County.

She is an eighth-grade English and language arts teacher at Shippensburg Area Middle School, Shippensburg, Cumberland County.

Her fiance received a Bachelor of Arts in History from Kutztown University.

He is a vicar at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Easton.

The couple is planning a July 11 wedding.
