Hokendauqua: First Presbyterian to host unique event March 7
First Presbyterian Church of Hokendauqua, 3005 S. Front St., will host a talent(less) show 7 p.m. March 7 in the fellowship hall. Doors open 6:30 p.m.
The evening will include comedy, skits, musical numbers and other assorted acts.
The fellowship hall will be transformed into an artsy coffee house for the night, and ticket holders can enjoy a coffee/tea bar and desserts during the show.
“We decided we needed to do something fun during this quiet time between Christmas and Easter,” said the Rev. Christine Kass, church pastor, “so we came up with the idea of a talent show. The more we talked about it, the more people said they’d perform except they don’t think they have any talent. We renamed it a talent(less) show and turned it into a fun, hilarious evening of performance by people who are sure of themselves and by people who totally aren’t.”
Members of Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua also will be participating.
Tickets are cheaper when purchased in advance.
“We hope everyone in the area who is looking for a different sort of night out will join us March 7,” Kass said. “It’s shaping up to be an awesome evening.”
