St. Anne School honored and roasted the Rev. Anthony Mongiello, Pastor of St. Anne Parish and School Jan. 31.
According to St. Anne School Principal Karen Bentz, “Father Mongiello has been pastor for 17 years and our school could not begin to ask for a more supportive, kind, engaged pastor. He is loved by school families and parishioners and we thought it was about time to surprise Father Mongiello, have some fun while paying tribute to him for all he has done for St. Anne School.”
The roasting, which was called “Father Mongiello – “This is Your Life,” included parish priest Father
Esposito, who portrayed Father Mongiello as an adult, and school students who portrayed him through skits and scenes from his early days to the present. The entire school was in on the surprise.
This was the final event and activity of the school’s week-long celebration of Catholic Schools Week.
