The Northeast MS Theatre Company will present “Once On This Island, Jr.” at two public performances Feb. 27 at 7 p.m. and Feb. 29 at 3 p.m. in the school auditorium. Based on a novel by Rosa Guy, the story revolves around an island peasant girl who brings together people of different backgrounds through the power of love. Lynn Ahrens’ book and lyrics, and Stephen Flaherty’s music, provide the basis for the one act musical.
The Northeast production is directed by Natalie Parker. Denise Parker is music director, Justin Amman is technical director, Connie Klose is set designer and stage manager, Jodie Johnson is costume designer, and the student assistant director is Grace Taylor.
