Volunteer firefighters from Fogelsville, Upper Macungie Station 56, Trexlertown and Greenawalds were dispatched for a reported fire Feb. 4 at DSC Logistics, 400 Nestle Way, Breinigsville.
Upon arrival, firefighters found boxes of breakfast cereals and treats burning inside the building.
A sprinkler system helped prevent the spread of the fire while firefighters used hoses to extinguish the remaining fire.
Weisenberg firefighters responded with a specialized exhaust fan to help clear smoke from the building.
Damage was confined to the immediate area, though smoke spread throughout the large building.
A state police fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire and the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture was also notified as the fire involved food products.
Cetronia Ambulance Corps assisted at the scene.
