Penn State Master Gardeners is offering a workshop about the African violet, one of the most common house plants, 10 a.m.-noon March 14 at Blocker’s Coffeehouse, 309 Front St., Catasauqua.
African violets are readily available with a variety of leaf and flower colors and patterns, learn about soil, light and fertilizer requirements, common issues, and propagation techniques.
With registration, each participant will be given a Penn State Extension pot mug, a pot, soil and an African violet to take home.
Refreshments are not included with registration fee.
Deadline for registration is March 6.
