The school board meeting scheduled 7:30 p.m. Feb. 19 will now be held at Salisbury Middle School in anticipation of an increased attendance. In case you haven’t heard, there has been discussion regarding the potential restructuring of the schools within the district.

Harry S Truman Elementary School will hold kindergarten registration for the 2020-2021 school year 9-10:30 a.m. and 1-2:30 p.m. Feb. 20. Parents need to bring an original birth certificate, current list of immunizations and two proofs of district residency. This could include: drivers license, current utility bill, bank statement, current W-2 or any other current document showing your mailing address. Please contact the HST office at 610-791-2800 with questions.

HST and Western Salisbury Elementary School will have a 1 p.m. dismissal Feb. 21. If there are any changes to dismissal procedures, please notify your respective school as soon as possible.

On Feb. 24, HST will hold class picture day. Order forms have been sent home with students if you would like to purchase this momento from this school year.

There will be a curriculum and technology committee meeting at HST 7 p.m. Feb. 24.

The next HST T-shirt day will be Feb. 27. The next HST PTO meeting will be 7 p.m. March 2.

The end of the second trimester will be here before we know it and that means it’s almost time for spring conferences for students in grades kindergarten through fifth March 9-12. If you are a parent of multiple children at HST, the window to register for a conference for your children will open 7 p.m. Feb. 27 on Sign-up Genius. Those with only one student, will be able to register for conferences beginning 7 p.m. March 2. Signups will remain open through 7 p.m. March 5. Information with directions to register has been sent home with HST students.

Looking forward, Salisbury High School Theatre will present “Into the Woods.” Performances will be held 7 p.m. March 12-14 and 3 p.m. March 15. The SHS 2020 SGA Dodgeball tournament is scheduled 6 p.m. March 16 in the SHS main gym. More information will follow, but save the date and start getting your team together. The Salisbury Athletic Booster Club is holding a clothing drive 9 a.m. to noon April 18 at Salisbury Middle School. Drop off clothing in front of SMS. The truck will pick up items between noon and 1 p.m. Visit www.clothingdrive.net to see what the organization will and will not accept.
