Whitehall police continue to investigate the report of an armed robbery Feb. 13 in the parking lot of Lehigh Valley Mall Lifestyle Center.

According to township Police Chief Michael Marks, officers were called to the scene just before 3 p.m. that day for a report of an armed robbery in progress outside of Pocono Brewery Company.

Four individuals were initially taken into custody. Some of the people involved were acquaintances, according to the report.

An investigation led to charges of robbery/threat of serious injury, theft by unlawful taking, simple assault and conspiracy against Darwin Sandoval, 29, and Rufino Guerrero De La Rosa, 32, both of Allentown. Police said they were armed with handguns.

During the call at Lehigh Valley Mall, Whitehall police also took into custody Isiah Middleton, 22, of Catasauqua, for a robbery warrant filed earlier by the Allentown Police Department.
