Coplay Recreation and Welfare Association has an inventory of wheelchairs, walkers, canes and other convalescent supplies available to borough residents free of charge.
In addition, the association helps families in event of emergencies, such as fires.

There will be a meeting of the borough’s 150th anniversary committee 7 p.m. Feb. 24 at Samuel Owens Restaurant and Bar, 128 Chestnut St.

The borough is currently accepting applications for seasonal positions.
The public works department is looking for part-time summer help. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license. The position is 30 hours per week May-August.
Duties will include grass cutting, trimming, curb painting, street cleanup and other miscellaneous tasks.
The borough is also looking for a vendor for the concession stand at the municipal pool for the 2020 season.
The deadline for lifeguards to apply for a position is March 13.

Residents are reminded not to put their used tires out for collection. There will be an announcement regarding a tire drop-off in the future. The service is provided by Lafarge.
