The top two seeds in the East Penn Conference boys basketball playoffs will meet in Thursday’s league title game.
Allen, the No. 1 seed, beat No. 5 Parkland in overtime Monday, 66-61, while No. 2 seed Liberty improved to 20-4 this season when it beat No. 3 Central Catholic, 60-53 on Monday.
Joe Barnes scored a game-high 20 points for the Hurricanes, which led 24-21 at halftime but stretched the lead to 42-30 after three quarters. Fifteen of Barnes’ points came in that decisive third quarter.
Nick Filchner led Central Catholic (20-4) with 19 points.
Allen (20-4) had four players reach doubl figured in it’s overtime victory Monday, led by A’quele Adderley’s 21-point effort.
The Trojans’ Jake Melady led his team with 17 points, while Jared Kucharczuk and Dylan Rhoads has 16 points each for Parkland (15-9).
The league title game is scheduled for Thursday at 8 p.m. at the PPL Center.
