Thomas Yezerski, chairman of the South Whitehall Public Safety Commission, telephoned The Press on Feb. 4 to say the safety commission had not “recommended” the KRE requested waiver to make left turns onto Broadway for a proposed fast-food restaurant at the corner of Cetronia Road and Broadway.
Yezerski was referring to the following published in the Jan. 30 edition of the Parkland Press when the director of planning and entitlements for KRE commented on the board’s resistance to the waiver and the left turn.
“We went to the public safety commission. They recommended it.”
According to Yezerski, “The public safety commission advised the board of commissioners that if they grant a waiver, then in order to make left turns onto Broadway, we then advise that certain criteria must be met.”
