State Police Beat

State Police Troop M, Bethlehem, say troopers were dispatched just after 5 p.m. Jan. 18 to the 6700 block of Bruce Lane, Washington Township, for the report of a disturbance.

Police met a 75-year-old man who reported he answered a knock on the door by a man claiming to be from the water company working for the county.

He reportedly told the 75-year-old man he was checking water pressure at homes in the area.

The man was permitted to come inside and check the water pressure of the kitchen faucet.

Upon walking the man out of the home, the 75-year-old man saw three additional men inside his home, police say.

The man walked them out of his house and saw them drive away in a light-colored van onto Route 873.

Police say while inside the home, the three men stole various items that belonged to the man.

Anyone with information regarding this burglary is asked to contact state police at 610-861-2026 and refer to incident number PA20-85444.

State Police Troop M, Fogelsville, say between $8,000 to $10,000 worth of power tools were stolen between 1:15 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Jan. 24 from the back of a 2010 Chevrolet work truck on Timberline Court, Weisenberg Township.
