School open house kicks off STM Catholic Schools Week activities

A school open house Jan. 26, kicked off week-long activities to mark Catholic Schools Week at St. Thomas More School, along Flexer Avenue, in the western portion of Salisbury Township.

The open house gave students an opportunity to show off their decorated classrooms and their individual artwork to family and friends from across the parish.

School cheer squad members added spirit to the occasion as upper-class students served as hosts and directed visitors among the school’s maze of hallways.

Applications were distributed for kindergarten and transfer students, student artwork and classroom projects were dominant, refreshments were provided and parents were able to purchase gently used outgrown uniforms.

The theme for the open house was “Celebrating our Parish” and planned subsequent days’ activities celebrate students, the nation, vocations and faculty, staff and volunteers.
