Joyce Lu has been named Girl of the Month for December 2019 by Woman’s Club of Whitehall Township.

She is the daughter of Min Lu and Su Zhang, of Whitehall.

Lu has earned high honor roll status for all marking periods.

She serves as the treasurer for the Class of 2020. She is also on the prom committee and the 2020 executive committee.

She has been a member of SERVE Club for three years and Leo Club for four years. For both clubs, she served as secretary her junior year and co-president for senior year. She is treasurer for SADD Club and Science Olympiad. She also serves as captain of the field hockey team.

Lu is a member of Mu Alpha Theta, National Honor Society and the science, Spanish and English honor societies. She was a National Merit Scholarship semifinalist and is an AP Scholar with distinction.

In addition to her schoolwork and clubs, Lu works part time.

She plans to attend college with a biology major on the pre-med track.
