Upper Milford Historical Society meeting, 7 p.m. at the Upper Milford Municipal Building, Old Zionsville. The meeting will be “Discovery Night” where members bring in family treasures, nostalgic photos, memories, etc. to share. Refreshments will be available and all are welcome. Feb. 1
SnowBlast Winter Arts Festival, hosted by the Emmaus Arts Commission, noon to 5 p.m. Activities take place at Triangle Park and various venues throughout town, including stores and restaurants. The event features local artist demonstrations throughout the town, the SnowBlast Community Art Project, an annual photo contest, live music, a palette walk scavenger hunt, live ice sculpting, a performance by the ice princess and family art activities. The Emmaus Main Street Partners will sell alcoholic beverages during the event. Visit the staff on or around the Triangle. Many stores will host art demonstrations and offer special activities to warm folks coming in from the cold. Local restaurants will provide a “SnowBlast Chill Chaser” drink and food specials.
Feb. 6
The Charles Henry Schaeffer American Legion Post #191 will meet 7 p.m. at Citizen’s Fire Co. #2, 1017 Pennsylvania Ave., Emmaus. The new meeting nights are the first Thursday of the month.
Allentown AARP Chapter #5415 will meet noon at St. Timothy’s Church, 140 S. Ott St., Allentown. “Good Vibrations Chorus” will entertain. Non-members and guests are welcome. Bring a non-perishable food item for the Allentown Food Bank. For more information, call 610-437-4265.

Feb. 8
A big band dance will be held 7 to 10 p.m. at St. Timothy’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 140 S. Ott St., Allentown. Live music will be performed by the Hanover Township Society for the Preservation of Big Band Sound in America. The dance is a fundraiser for Family Promise of Lehigh Valley. March 28
Free shredder event 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Quakertown Farmers Market, 201 Station Road, Quakertown. Richter Mobile Shredding will be in the north lot, near the Garden Center ready to shred personal documents. Papers should be boxed or bagged and the limit is two large bags or boxes per person.
