During the month of February, Suburban North Family YMCA will be delivering care packages to adults in need in the community every Tuesday afternoon. The care packages will consist of miscellaneous items, such as toiletries, hats and gloves.
It is understood the long cold months make it difficult to get out and about, and social isolation can lead to many things.
Additionally, many of the area churches offer free monthly community lunches. Stay tuned for the dates of these lunches. The next one will be Feb. 3.
The community is always welcome at the Public Library of Catasauqua. Also, Coffee with the Cops is a free monthly event, courtesy of Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church.
If you or someone you know is experiencing social isolation, contact the YMCA at 610-264-5221 or melissabrown@gv-ymca.org; or Brian Riedy, pastor of Holy Trinity, at 610-264-2641 or htmlcatasauquapbr@gmail.com.
