The Steinsville Road Bridge, between Route 143 and Clover Road, Lynn Township, is closed for repairs. The bridge was originally built in 1921.

Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Safety Press Officer Sean Brown said in an email Jan. 13 to The Press, the work which began on Dec. 6, 2019 is scheduled to be completed Feb. 4.

Brown noted that the Route 143 bridge was built in 1926.

The work is part of a larger Lehigh Valley Bridge Preservation and Repair project for five structures in Lehigh and Northampton counties.

He said in the email the total contract cost is $2,908,972.

The contractor is Kriger Construction Inc.
