Report cards for Catasauqua Middle School students will be issued Jan. 27.

Reminder: CMS Student Forum is conducting its annual food drive, the CMS Souper Bowl of Caring. The drive continues until Jan. 31.

Students are encouraged to bring in nonperishable and nonexpired food items.

No glass jars or bottles will be accepted.

Homerooms will compete to see which can bring in the most items. The winning homeroom will receive a pizza party to celebrate.

There will be early dismissal Feb. 5. Students will be dismissed 12:20 p.m.

The CMS PTF Valentine dance is scheduled for 7-9 p.m. Feb. 7 in the gymnasium.

Regular attendance is important and essential to a student’s success.

Remember to send in your child’s absence excuse within three days of his or her return to school. If an excuse is not received, the absence will result in an unexcused/unlawful absence.

In case of inclement weather, notifications will be made through the Power Announcement system. Additionally, postings will be made on the website, cattysd.org, or through local television and radio stations.

If school is closed, all extracurricular practices, rehearsals, events and contests are canceled.
