AARP tax return assistance and preparation will again take place at Northampton Recreation Center, 1 Lerchenmiller Drive.

Those interested are asked to visit the recreation center from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 27 to set up a future appointment.

Volunteers will be at the rec center Mondays, Feb. 3-April 13, to assist with tax returns.

There is no guarantee that walk-ins can be assisted.

Reminder: Northampton Area Food Bank will be holding a Super Bowl purse and gift card bingo Feb. 2 in the gymnasium of Good Shepherd Catholic School, 1300 Newport Ave.

Doors open noon. Bingo starts 2 p.m.

Prizes will be purses and gift cards from area stores, restaurants and entertainment venues.

The event includes a Chinese auction, a 50/50 raffle and door prizes.

Northampton Banquet and Event Center, 1601 Laubach Ave., holds bingo every Monday night. Doors open 5:30 p.m., and the games begin 7 p.m.

The kitchen is open.

Proceeds benefit the Northampton Recreation Center.
