CMS News: Food drive going on now until Jan. 31

Catasauqua Middle School Student Forum is conducting its annual food drive, the CMS Souper Bowl of Caring. The drive continues until Jan. 31.

Students are encouraged to bring in nonperishable and nonexpired food items. No glass jars or bottles will be accepted.

Homerooms will compete to see which can bring in the most items. The winning homeroom will receive a pizza party.

The end of the second marking period will be Jan. 17.

It is the cycle three mid-marking period for eighth grade.

Schools will be closed Jan. 20 for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

There will also be no classes Jan. 21 for a teacher in-service day.

School physicals will take place Jan. 22.

There is a CMS PTF meeting scheduled 7 p.m. Jan. 22 in the CMS library.

In case of inclement weather, notifications will be made through the power announcement system. Additionally, postings will be made on the website, cattysd.org, or through local television and radio stations.

If school is closed, all extracurricular practices, rehearsals, events and contests are canceled.
