Pennsylvania State Police continue to seek help from the public in an investigation of shots fired, striking a residence, in Lower Macungie Township overnight Dec. 28, 2019.
In a brief phone interview Jan. 2, Trooper Nathan T. Branosky, community service officer, public information officer, Pennsylvania State Police Bethlehem, said the incident remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville barracks at 610-395-1438.
Investigators outlined what happened in a media release:
At approximately 2:20 a.m. Dec. 28, 2019, several rounds of ammunition were fired at a single family home in the 6200 block of Clover Lane, Lower Macungie Township.
The rounds struck the exterior front of the residence in various locations with a few of the rounds entering the first floor of the residence. Branosky was not aware of any damage inside the house due to the shots.
An 85-year-old male and a 68-year-old female, described by officials as residents of the house, were home at the time of the incident and were not injured, according to police.
Pennsylvania State Police investigators reviewed video surveillance of the incident, which depicted a vehicle believed to be involved in the event.
