FALCON INSIDER

Jan. 17 is the last day for seniors to submit their senior photos, baby photos and family messages to the Salisbury High School 2020 yearbook. No submissions will be accepted after this date.

Mr. Hahn and the Student Government Advisory are creating a “Wall of Acceptance.” Seniors who receive an acceptance letter from a post secondary institution, the military or a job position can bring in their letter. The letter will then be copied, laminated and displayed in the main hallway.

Senior privilege is an opportunity for SHS seniors to remove a morning or afternoon class from their schedules so they can leave school 80 minutes early or start school 80 minutes late. Interested students who qualify for senior privilege for the second semester must submit their applications to their guidance counselor by Jan. 10. All students who currently have senior privilege do not need to resubmit their applications.

On Jan. 8, there will be a Salisbury Community Conversation on Healthy Eating 7-8 p.m. in the SHS library. The St. Luke’s Community Health & Preventive Medicine Department will provide information about how to live a healthier life.

The SHS boys basketball team will host a flapjack fundraiser at Applebee’s in Trexlertown 8-10 a.m. Jan. 25. There is a cost. Mark your calendars, so you can come and support the basketball team.

Come support the SHS winter sports teams. Check the schedule to see when you can catch a basketball, indoor soccer, wrestling, rifle or swimming event.

The last day of the marking period is Jan. 17. Students should make sure all of their grades are turned in. Also, students will be switching semester long courses after this date.

Finally, students will enjoy a 12:15 p.m. dismissal Jan. 17 and have off Jan. 20.
